Sista’s Crochet Creations is an exclusive collection of crochet wearables and household items sold through The Cemetery Sista, LLC. Founded by Dr. Jennifer R. Blanks, whose passions include nature, cultural heritage, and crafting, Sista Crochet Creations was born from a unique self-care practice.

During stressful times in graduate school and other life experiences, Jennifer often found refuge, spiritual enlightenment, and a deeper connection to her true self by crocheting in cemeteries. Inspired by the tranquility and unexpected grief management this experience brought her, Jennifer launched Sista’s Crochet Creations to share the calming and restorative power of crafting with others.

Custom orders are currently closed. However, I do crochet household items and wearables for monthly drops at Plant and Stone. Some of these items include:

Join us for a relaxed, hands-on monthly crochet workshop designed for beginners and returning crafters who want to build skills while creating meaningful projects. Each session focuses on learning core techniques, practicing together, and leaving with a project you can continue at home. Each month, a new project will be featured that builds upon the skills learned in the previous class.

This is a welcoming, judgment-free space—perfect if you’ve never crocheted before, are picking it back up, or just want to craft in community.

What’s included:

  • Guided, in-person instruction

  • Beginner-friendly patterns and demonstrations

  • Time for questions and troubleshooting

  • A cozy, creative environment

Meet me on the second Sunday of every month for a 2.5-hour crochet workshop! This class is beginner-friendly friendly however, crocheters (and knitters!) of all skill levels are welcome to join. Check back each month to learn about our next project.

I’ve been having a wonderful time working through my crochet bucket list. Being a pattern tester ✅ and making a TRUE granny square/patchwork cardigan ✅ are officially checked off! Making 45 squares was definitely a challenge, but the reward was worth it. This pattern was easy to follow, helped me make new virtual crochet friends (it’s giving MySpace days!), and allowed me to bring a vision to life🥰🫶🏽 Let’s see what’s next on this crochet journey! It was a slower year for me in terms of productivity, but I still turned a few looks! From my first hexagon cardigan and cropped top, to hosting my very first crochet workshop series, to finally trying some viral crochet patterns—every stitch counted. I’m looking forward to sharing fun, creative designs in our crochet workshops this year and finally making pieces from the hundreds of patterns I’ve hoarded over the last two years 😅.
