Institutional and Technical Support

The Cemetery Sista partners with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, universities, churches, and cultural heritage organizations to provide specialized consulting and technical expertise for cemetery preservation projects. Services are tailored to each organization's goals and may support planning, research, policy development, public engagement, and long-term stewardship.

Preservation Planning: Develop strategic recommendations and customized preservation and management plans that address the long-term care, documentation, and stewardship of historic cemeteries.

Cultural Resource & Environmental Planning: Provide technical guidance on cemetery preservation within the context of cultural resource management, land use planning, environmental review, and community planning initiatives.

Community Engagement: Design and facilitate stakeholder engagement strategies, public meetings, workshops, and collaborative planning processes that build community support for cemetery preservation.

Research & Technical Reports: Prepare research memoranda, preservation assessments, technical reports, and other written deliverables to support planning, grant applications, organizational decision-making, and preservation initiatives.

Expert Witness & Litigation Support: Provide expert consultation, technical review, and written opinions related to historic cemeteries, cemetery preservation, cultural resources, and environmental justice.
